Komsiopallo

A Lucky Charm

It is believed that the “Komsiopallo” protects its wearer from all bad things: Illness and misfortune, but it also keeps away hobgoblins and gnomes. The ball can for example be attached to the cradle above the child, where it also serves as a toy. The amount of rings of the Komsiopallo indicates the desired number of children: three, five or nine. There’s never a paired number since it is believed to bring bad luck.
